Jeremiah is a very confident and enthusiastic breeder. He has
several cria in utero for 2010 deliveries.
We purchased Jeremiah at the Parade of Champions auction in 2007.
They described him as a testament to his sire's future prominence as
a dominant North American herdsire. In addition to his striking
head, frame and presence, he has a true elite fleece, with
brilliance, fineness, micro bundling and density. They went on to
say that he was going to be an outstanding herdsire.
As I was taking updated photos of him I was impressed with how grown
up he looks compared to just 4 months ago. He has just great
confirmation, so straight and correct. His fleece is fine with a
great hand. His crimp is well defined and organized.
Jeremiah is one of Ulysses' first cria. Ulysses who you might ask?
He is a full Accoyo, El Nino son who has won championships at both
MAPACA and IAO. Jeremiah is a 3/4 Accoyo who has great genetics on
his pedigree with El Nino and Caligula on his sire side and Camilio
on his dams side. We have always been impressed with the animals
from Accoyo America and to be able to own them for ourselves is an
honor.
Density is something that we are now focusing in on in our breeding
program. That is something that Accoyo America is known for along
with their great genetics and fine crimpy fleeces. Jeremiah's
shearing at just under a year of age yielded a 3.2 lb blanket. Not
bad for a baby. His second blanket shorn at just under a year was 5
lbs.
Accoyo America no longer does outside breedings so purchasing jr.
herdsires from there stock is the only way to get the genetics these
days or by purchasing breedings from those of us who have made these
purchases. |
